Cue Camera Privacy Policy
Cue Camera: AI Photo Coach helps you compose photos with live camera guidance. The app is designed to keep camera analysis and coaching on your device.
Information Cue Camera uses
- Live camera frames: used to show the viewfinder and analyze framing, lighting, faces, horizons, and scene context.
- Derived scene signals: composition, lighting, orientation, subject scale, and selfie guidance signals used to create coaching tips.
- Captured photos: used only when you tap the shutter and allow Cue Camera to save the image to your Photos library.
- Preferences: settings such as the rule-of-thirds grid, debug overlay, coaching verbosity, selfie mirroring, beauty coaching, and coaching intensity are stored locally on your device.
On-device camera and AI processing
Cue Camera uses Apple Vision and Apple Foundation Models frameworks. Vision analyzes the live camera feed, and Apple’s default system language model may generate short coaching text from locally derived scene signals.
No account is required, and Cue Camera does not operate a cloud editing pipeline or backend service for camera analysis.
Photos
When you tap the shutter, Cue Camera creates a capture for review. If you grant Photos permission, the app saves the image to your Photos library. If permission is denied or saving fails, the capture remains available for review but is not saved to Photos.
Permissions
Cue Camera requests camera permission to provide the live viewfinder and coaching. It requests Photos permission only when you choose to save a captured image. You can change either permission in your device Settings.
Third-party services and links
Cue Camera does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, account, crash-reporting, or third-party AI SDKs. Some optional inspiration and reference links in Settings open external websites after you choose a link. Cue Camera does not automatically send camera frames, photos, or coaching data to those websites. Those websites have their own privacy policies and terms.
Data retention and deletion
Cue Camera does not maintain a remote account or server-side profile for you. Locally stored preferences can be removed by deleting the app. Photos saved to your Photos library are managed through Apple Photos.
Children’s privacy
Cue Camera does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require an account or upload workflow, it is not designed to collect personal information from users.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app’s data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a new version is published.
